The Abel Tasman National Park
The Abel Tasman National Park is spectacular. The coastal walks are unique in New Zealand and even if you only have limited time you can't visit Nelson without at least a short venture into this park.
Relax on golden sand beaches, swim in crystal clear waters, kayak, swim with the seals, go for a boat cruise or walk and explore. Great on a sunny winter day too! There are so many options it can be confusing – let us help you decide the best way to spend a day or longer in this beautiful National Park. We can arrange pick ups from our Hostel door. Many trips include lunch on the beach or you can take your own picnic for a cheaper option.
A full day tour from Nelson leaves our hostel around 7am and delivers you back to our door by about 6pm. If you have more time you can choose to overnight in a lodge, hut, tent or on the Aquapackers boat. Take a look at some of the popular tours.
