Accents is committed to sustainable tourism.

We are involved in the following:

• Recycling of Plastics, glass, cans and cardboard. – to reduce our impact on Landfill Rubbish
• Use of eco-light bulbs which use less energy.
• All laundry powders are biodegradable as are the majority of our other cleaning chemicals to protect our environment.
• Food scraps are collected for our worm farm which produces fertiliser for the gardens.
• Doors and Windows closed early over winter to reduce our heating energy requirements.
• Dual flush toilets to reduce wastage of water.
• Our brochure is printed on Recycled paper to help save NZ’s trees.
• Buy local produce where possible – Nelson Saturday Market and local supermarkets.
• carbon neutral web hosting.
